Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Parking brake cables, removing and installing 

Note:  Parking brake cable adjusting components are located in the tunnel on the underside of vehicle.

Removing 

-

Remove heat shield -1-.

-

Remove retaining nuts (arrows) from heat shield -2- and slide heat shield forward.

-

Remove locking clip -D-.

-

Counter-hold hex -E- using 13 mm open end wrench and turn adjusting nut -C- in until stop.

-

Slide cable adjuster together.
