Condition

The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS) or even an illuminated MIL may be present:

This may be due to the On Board Diagnosis OBD for the Catalytic Converter system which is too sensitive and sets fault codes without a defect in the
catalyst system.

Service

If diagnosis of the engine does not reveal a faulty component, reprogramming of the ECM will be necessary.
