Wheel Bearing (Front Wheel Drive) Servicing

Wheel Bearing (Front Wheel Drive) Servicing, Rear

Wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together in one housing.
This wheel bearing/wheel hub unit is maintenance free and play free. It is not possible to adjust or service the unit.

1. Self locking bolt, 35 Nm

Always replace

When loosening and tightening, counterhold on guide pin

2. Brake caliper
3. Socket head bolt 60 Nm 
4. Brake disc
5. Socket head bolt 60 Nm 
6. Wheel - bearing/wheel hub unit

When replacing wheel bearing unit, ABS wheel speed sensor must also be replaced.

7. Backing plate
8. Axle beam
9. ABS wheel speed sensor

-

Must be replaced when installing new wheel bearing unit.

Always replace sealing ring and lubricate with brake cylinder paste G 000 650.
