Brake Caliper: Removal and Replacement

Front Brake Caliper, Ceramic Brakes, C/SiC Caliper, RS 6

Install complete repair kit when servicing.

Apply thin coat of Assembly Paste to brake cylinder, piston and seals. 

CAUTION!
The ceramic inserts on the brake pistons serve as heat insulators and must not be removed from the pistons. If the ceramic inserts are
damaged, the brake pistons must be replaced for safety reasons.

Removing

-

Force piston from brake caliper housing using compressed air.

Pos.- 1 -piston resetting tool (T10145)

‹› Place a wooden board into the recess of the caliper housing so it is not damaged.

Remove protective cap from brake caliper, with trim removal wedge 3409.

-

Remove the seals.
