Bulb For High Beam, Replacing

Removing

-

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

-

Turn light switch into "0" position.

Left headlamp - vehicles with 6-cyl. Engine:

-

Remove reservoir for power steering.

Right headlamp - vehicles with 6-cyl. Gasoline engine:

-

Remove air filter housing.

Right headlamp - vehicles with 4.2l MPI engine:

-

Remove air filter housing.

Right headlamp - vehicles with 4.2l FSI engine:

-

Remove air filter housing.

All:

-

Release securing guides - arrows - and remove headlamp housing cover.

-

Disconnect harness connector - 1 - at high beam bulb.

-

Disengage wire clamp - 3 - and - 4 - and remove bulb - 2 - from housing.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

Insert new bulb into housing, do not touch glass cone with bare hands.

-

Secure bulb using wire clamp.

-

Re-connect harness connector and close housing cover.
