Vehicle Information

AMI functioning normally (DTC 02076 "no signal to media player" in Gateway Control Unit)

Condition

DTC 02076 (no signal communication for media player X) is stored in the diagnosis interface for the data bus (Gateway) - Address word 19.

The Audi Music Interface (AMI) is working according to manufacturer specification. The customer is not complaining about AMI malfunctions.

Technical Background

The fault code may be stored in the Gateway control unit due to a delayed response of the Audi Music Interface - Address word 0E - during the
initialization of the MMI system.

This fault entry also may be stored in the Gateway when retrofitting an Audi Music Interface.

Service

The unjustified fault entry is only possible in the following Gateway / Audi Music interface configurations:

Disregard DTC 02076 (no signal communication to media player X) if there are no related complaints. Otherwise, proceed with Guided Fault Finding.
