Pull the retainer - 4 - downward and out -  arrow A -, press it down - arrow B - and disconnect the electrial connector - 3 - on the crash sensor.

Remove the nut - 1 - and remove the rear side airbag crash sensor - 2 - from the threaded pins.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

‹› Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

‹› Ensure wires are not pinched.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect battery ground strap.

Follow measures after connecting battery.

‹› If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp (K75) indicates a malfunction after assembly, check the DTC memory with the vehicle diagnosis, testing

and information system (VAS 5051B), clear it, and check it again.
