Steering Gear: Diagrams

Power steering gear, assembly overview 

Power steering gear is removed and installed complete with tie rods.

1 - Power steering gear with tie rods

2 - Bolt, 30 Nm

3 - Steering column

4 - Gasket

Note installed position

5 - Bolt, 68 Nm

Observe tightening sequence

6 - Bulkhead boot

Note installed position 

7 - Bolt, 5 Nm

8 - Bolt

9 - Self-locking nut, 50 Nm

Always replace after removal 

10 - Wheel bearing housing

11 - Return hose
