Guide the steering gear to the right past the coolant hose which is located in the center of the engine compartment (a second technician is needed).

Position steering gear at plenum chamber (2nd technician needed). 

‹› Make sure the bolt threads and contact surfaces are free of oil and grease.

Tightening sequence:

-

First install bolts - 1 - and - 3 - by hand (a second technician is needed).

Then tighten bolt - 2 - => [ (Item 19) Bolt ] See: Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview.

Then tighten bolt - 1 - => [ (Item 23) Bolt ] See: Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview. 

-

Then tighten bolt - 3 - => [ (Item 5) Bolt ] See: Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview. 

-

Install bracket - 2 - with heating valves.
