Front Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

Front door handle, assembly 

CAUTION!  Door handle trim must be removed before removing door handle to prevent damage to paint on handle trim => Fig. 2.

Note:  

To remove door handle assembly components:
- 

Remove door trim panel.  See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair

- 

Remove door component carrier.  See: Service and Repair

- 

Unhook locking rod for lock cylinder and lock operating rod

1 -  Lock

^  Only on heated lock cylinder and/or anti-theft warning system
^  To remove, twist toward rear (opposite driving direction)

2 -  Twist clamp

^  To remove, twist toward rear (opposite driving direction)

3 -  Door handle

^  To remove twist clamp (-1- and/or -2-), remove screw -4-

4 -  Screw

^  5.0 Nm (44 in lb) 

5 -  Circlip

6 -  Operating lever

7 -  Spring

^  Installation position => Fig. 1 (below)

8 -  Housing

^  To remove door handle -3- and lock cylinder -12-, remove

9 -  Packing
