Remote Control: Testing and Inspection
Output Diagnostic Test Mode (Function 03)

NOTE:

-

Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) is only possible when vehicle is stationary and engine is not running!

-

If malfunctions are found during output Diagnostic Test Mode, determine cause of malfunction and repair if necessary.

In the function "Output Diagnostic Test Mode" functions of the system are checked.

Initiating output Diagnostic Test Mode:

-

Switch on ignition

-

Switch on radio and telephone (if installed)

-

Press buttons -0- and -3-. This selects "Output Diagnostic Test Mode", function 3.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer

Press -Q- button to confirm input.

Indicated on display:

Radio louder

The radio volume is increased audibly.

Press -> button.

Indicated on display:

Radio softer

The radio volume is decreased audibly.

-

Press -> button.

Indicated on display:

Search function radio station upward

The next station will be searched and displayed in combination center display.

Press -> button.

Indicated on display:

Search function radio station downward

The previous station will be adjusted again and will be displayed in combination center display.

Telephone memory

The first stored name in telephone memory is displayed in instrument cluster. Not valid with radio-coding.
