Headliner with Slide/tilt Sunroof, Removing

Note radio code (for vehicles equipped with coded anti-theft radio / radio navigation system).

Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap/cable.

CAUTION:  On vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar(R), switch-off the emergency (back-up) battery for the
Telematic/Telephone Control Module prior to disconnecting the vehicle battery. Switch-on the emergency (back-up) battery after
reconnecting the vehicle battery.

Molded headliner
-

Removing:
-

Remove A-pillar trim.

-

Remove D-pillar trim.

-

Remove sunvisor.

-

Remove rearview mirror.

-

Remove cover for sliding sunroof motor.

-

For vehicles with side curtain airbag:

-

Remove side curtain airbags.

-

Remove bolts - 6 -.

-

Carefully pry cover frame - 12 - out of clamps - 13 -.

-

Pry out interior light - 4 -.

-

Move passenger-side backrest as far back as possible.

-

Move driver-side backrest as far back as possible.

-

A second technician is required to support the molded headliner.
