Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
Hydraulic Unit and Brake Lines

Brake fine tightening torque: 15 Nm.

1. Bolt 5 Nm
2. Cover
3. ABS solenoid valve relay
4. ABS return flow pump relay
5. ABS hydraulic unit 5.0

Different versions, Refer to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2

No repair work is permitted at the hydraulic unit except for replacement of both relays. Do not remove screws.

The hydraulic unit is prevented before delivery as a replacement part.

Removing and installing the hydraulic unit

Disconnect Ground (GND) strap from battery

Remove front half of front right wheel housing liner.

-

Disconnect brake lines and immediately seal connections with plugs

-

Bolt a new hydraulic unit into bracket -35-.

-

Brake lines must be connected according to the marks on the hydraulic unit.

Hydraulic unit/line connections/rear side, Refer to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2

Bleed brake system.
