Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Brembo Brake Caliper
Note:

Install complete repair kit when servicing.
^
New brake calipers are filed with brake fluid and are prebled.
^
Apply a thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.
1. Protective cap
^
Push onto bleeder valve
2. Bleeder valve
^
Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 to threads before screwing in
3. Seals
^
Use 3409 wedge to remove, Refer to Figs. 2 and 3
^
Insert carefully by hand - Fig. 5
4. Pistons
^
Press out of brake caliper housing using compressed air - Fig. 1
^
Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 before installing
^
Installing, Refer to Figs. 5, and 6
5. Protective caps
^
Do not damage when installing piston
^
Install so that outer sealing lip goes over piston, Refer to Fig. 4
^
Install so that inner sealing lip enters groove in brake caliper housing, Refer to Fig. 3
6. Seals
^
Use 3409 wedge to remove, Refer to Figs. 2 and 3
