Camshaft and Camshaft Adjuster, Right Cylinder Head

Note:

Installation of camshaft chain to left and right cylinder heads differ basically. Note different procedures!

Bracket for Chain Adjustment -3366-

Sealant

Removing

-

Remove engine. Refer to: Vehicle/ Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/ Engine/ Service and Repair/ Service and Repair See: Service and Repair

Remove toothed belt from camshaft gears. Refer to Vehicle/ Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/ Engine/ Timing Components/ Timing Belt/ Service and
Repair/ See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair

Remove camshaft gear

-

Remove the idler pulley -arrow-.

-

Remove the bolts -1- and -2- and remove the rear toothed belt guard. 

-

Disconnect electrical harness connector -arrow- at camshaft position (CMP) sensor -G40-.

-

Remove housing for Hall sensor. 

-

Remove washer and cover for Hall sensor. 

-

Disconnect electrical harness connector at camshaft adjustment solenoid valve.
