Rear Belt Adjuster, Removing And Installing

Removing

NOTE:  To remove the rear belt adjuster it is not necessary to remove hat shelf.

-

Loosen lower mounting of rear three-point rear seat belt.
Tightening torque: 55 Nm (41 ft.lb.)

Unclip cover for belt guide - 3 -.

-

Pry off cover at left and right side of tab - 7 - for belt adjuster - 2 -.

-

Fold up arm of belt adjuster  - 4 - with belt band.

-

Using screwdriver, press tabs - 1 - (2x) toward inside and simultaneously pull belt adjuster - 2 - upward.

-

Pull belt band through belt adjuster - 2 -.

Installing

-

Watch for complete latching of retaining tabs - 1 - (2x).

-

Make sure that the rear notches of opening - 6 - lock in place.

-

Replacement latch - 5 - must point toward vehicle center.
