Remove left and right flanges as follows:
-

Install two bolts in drive flange and counter with mounting lever to loosen mounting bolt.

^

Mark drive flanges, left and right.

^

Remove mounting bolts for final drive cover.

^

Remove final drive cover from final drive housing and remove differential gear.

Installing differential gear 

The differential gear is installed in reverse order of removal. In addition, the following work steps have to be carried out:

Install differential gear.

^

Clean sealing surface and coat with AMV 188 001 02.

^

Install final drive cover on final drive housing.
Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) 

^

Lubricate space between sealing lip and dust lip with gear oil.

^

Install and tighten drive flanges.

^

Top off fluid in rear final drive and check fluid level.
