Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
HP-2 Dual Piston Brake Caliper - Steel

Note:

Install complete repair kit when servicing.

New brake calipers are filled with brake fluid and are prebled.

^

Apply a thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.

1. Protective cap

Push onto bleeder valve

2. Bleeder valve

^

Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 to threads before screwing in

3. Brake caliper housing

WARNING:  Do not separate two halves of housing (socket head bolts). Replace brake caliper if protective cap for guide pins is damaged.

4. Seals

Use 3409 wedge to remove, Refer to Fig. 2

Insert carefully by hand

5. Pistons

^

Piston diameter.

^

Press out of brake caliper housing using compressed air - Fig. 1

^

Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 before installing
