Camshaft and Camshaft Adjuster, Left Cylinder Head

Note:

Installation of camshaft chain to left and right cylinder heads differ basically. Note different procedures!

Removing

- Engine Installed -

Remove toothed belt from camshaft gears. Refer to Vehicle/ Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/ Engine/ Timing Components/ Timing Belt/ Service and
Repair/ See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair

Remove camshaft gear

-

Loosen nuts -1-.

-

Remove the idler roller -arrow- if applicable.

-

Disconnect electrical harness connector -arrow- from camshaft adjustment valve 2 -N208-.

Remove left cylinder head cover. Refer to: Vehicle/ Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/ Engine/ Cylinder Head Assembly/ Valve Cover/ Service and
Repair/ See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair
