Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Lower oil pan, removing and installing

Special tools and equipment: 
-

Electric drill with plastic brush attachment

-

Silicone sealant D 176 404 A2

-

Torque wrench, 10 Nm/ 45 Nm

Removing 

-

Remove noise insulation

-

Drain engine oil.

-

Disconnect connector -1- from oil level sensor

-

Remove lower lower oil pan (arrow).

Installing: 

Install oil pan in reverse order but note the following:
-

Clean oil and grease from sealing surfaces.

WARNING!  Wear eye protection.
