Sealing rings must always be replaced.

Lightly cover sealing ring -A- with coolant and install it onto coolant line -B-.

-

Place clamping bracket -A- (with studs) according to illustration onto connection at heater core -B-.

-

Place clamping bracket -C- (with holes) onto coolant line -D- according to illustration.

-

Insert coolant line -D- (with sealing ring) into connection of heater core -B-.

-

Secure coolant line with the two clamping brackets -C- and -D- in heater core.

-

Tighten both hex nuts -A- and -B- alternatingly and uniformly (tightening torque 3 Nm).

-

Clamping brackets -C- and -D- must be installed as illustrated (observe outer contour).

-

Make sure clamping brackets are not canted when tightening hex nuts.

-

Check the position of the clamping brackets after securing coolant lines, they must not contact other components.

-

Install the second coolant line in the same manner.

-

Check coolant system for proper seal before installing glove compartment:

-

Check position of the grommet in the opening of the coolant lines to plenum chamber before installing the glove compartment and the plenum
chamber cover.

-

Coolant pump -V50- of pump-valve unit must only be operated after the coolant circuit has been vented.

-

Dry operation of the pump-valve unit leads to destruction.

-

Connect 2-pin harness connector to pump-valve unit only after venting the coolant circuit.
