Headlamp Alignment Actuator: Service and Repair

Adjusting Motor For Automatic Vertical Aim Control, High Intensity Gas Discharge (Xenon) Headlight, Removing and Installing

NOTE:  Always adjust headlights after adjusting motors are removed and installed or are replaced.

Removing

-

Remove headlight.

-

Release retaining clamps and mounting units and remove rubber seal.

Remove headlight lens -1- by removing the six retaining clamps -15-.

Remove ball head of adjusting motor -12- adjustment axle from ball head mount.

Remove reflector -4-. Turn adjustment screws for vertical and horizontal adjustment enough that reflector can be removed.

Disconnect electrical harness connector at adjusting motor for automatic vertical headlight aim control -12- and remove both mounting screws

Remove adjusting motor for automatic vertical headlight aim control.

Installing

-

Complete installation in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:  Perform basic setting.  Automatic vertical headlight aim control system, OBD.
