Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair

Removing
^
Remove wheel trim; on light-alloy wheels, pull off trim cap (use puller in vehicle tool kit).
^
Unbolt hex bolt for drive axle.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of accident, loosen only when vehicle is standing on wheels.

Remove wheel.
^
Secure brake disc with a lug bolt.
^
Remove hex bolt -2-.
^
Pull ABS speed sensor wiring out of retainer on wheel bearing housing.
^
Remove bolts -1- for brake caliper and take off brake caliper.
^
Remove bolt -1- for ABS speed sensor.
Notes:
^
Suspend brake caliper from bodywork with a piece of wire.
^
Do not suspend the brake caliper from the brake hose.
