Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Drive Shaft (Pinion) Flange Sealing Ring Replacing

Note:

The rear final drive remains installed for this procedure.

Removing

Remove crossmember and rear exhaust system (arrows).

^

Place oil drain pan underneath rear final drive.

^

Drain fluid from rear final drive.

^

Remove heat shields over drive shaft.

^

If markings are not present, mark (with paint) respective position of flange to rear final drive.

^

Loosen mounting bolts for drive shaft on rear final drive.
