90 Clock is Incorrect After Standing Long Periods

Condition

The clock displays the incorrect time after standing a long period of time.

Technical Background

The clock may reset when the vehicle stands for a long time when the ignition is switched off, the headlight switch is not switched to the "0" off position,
and the car is locked. This is due to a production change when the parking light warning light was removed from the Instrument Cluster.

Production Solution

Implemented a new software in the Instrument Cluster (J285).

Service

Vehicles with Instrument Cluster (J285) SW Level 0200 or 0210 Only Coding must be changed

a. Enter: Vehicle Self Diagnosis >> 17 - Dash Panel Insert >> 07 - Code Control Unit

b. Change the last digit in existing code from XXXX3 to XXXX8.

Tip:

Write down original coding before clearing it and do NOT change the numbers represented above by an X.

Example: Code 16043 must be changed to 16048

Vehicles with Instrument Cluster (J285) SW Level 0400 or 0410

Update the Instrument Cluster Control Module (J285), address word 17 to 0420 (or higher) via SVM using SVM Action Code: NA4E90TG01

Tip:

The SVM Process must be completed in it's entirety so the database receives the update confirmation response. A warranty claim may not be
reimbursed if there is no confirmation response to support the claim
