Headlamp Power Output Stage J667 / J668, Removing And Installing

CAUTION: Always disconnect battery ground strap before working on gas-discharge headlight components marked with yellow high-voltage
symbols.

Removing

-

With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) cable.

-

Remove headlight.

-

Loosen locking bolt - 1 - a few turns.

-

Release retainer tabs - arrows - and detach low beam housing cover from headlight housing.

-

Disconnect connector.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove headlight power output stage from headlight housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

Check gasket between headlight power output module and housing cover.

-

Connect harness connector.

-

Close housing cover and secure with screw.

-

Install headlight.

-

Connect battery. Required actions.

Tightening torque

Power output stage to headlight: 1 Nm
