Warning:
Hot steam and/or hot coolant can escape when the expansion tank is opened. Wrap a cloth around the filler cap and open carefully.
Open the coolant expansion tank and insert the first of the four silicate cartridges -1- into the expansion tank.
Press each of the cartridges -1- carefully past the MIN mark -2- in the tank without damaging the silicate cartridge
The correct positioning of the silicate cartridges -1- is shown in the illustration.
On vehicles on which the coolant expansion tank has no MIN mark, the four silicate cartridges should be positioned as shown in the illustration. 3 Two
silicate cartridges -3- are inserted in one chamber of the tank.
