ATF, Checking Level and Correcting
‹› The ATF level is checked at the ATF inspection plug.
‹› The ATF level is correct if a small amount of fluid drips out of the inspection opening (this is normal as the fluid expands as it heats up) at an ATF
temperature between 35 °C (95 °F) and 45 °C (113 °F) (for hot countries 50 °C (122 °F)).
‹› Different types of ATF are available for this transmission. These are allocated to the transmission codes.
‹› Only use the ATF available as a replacement part for the planetary gear in automatic transmission 09E.
‹› Other oils can cause malfunctions or transmission failure.

Fill the (V.A.G 1924) with ATF for automatic transmission 09E.

Secure (V.A.G 1924) as high as possible on vehicle.

Start the engine and let it idle.

Remove the bolts - 3 - and - 4 - and remove rear section of noise insulation.

Place the (V.A.G 1782) below the transmission.
