Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Pan, Oil Strainer and Mechatronic Overview ] See: Oil Pan, Oil Strainer and Mechatronic Overview

  ‹› Replace the seal.

‹› The oil drain plug and seal must be replaced.

‹› If the vehicle has high mileage, replacing the oil strainer - A - is recommended when the oil pan is removed. Refer to => [ Oil Screen ] See: Oil

Screen. Otherwise the ATF strainer must be replaced only if it is damaged.

Clean all magnets in the oil pan. Make sure that the magnets are in full contact with the oil pan.

Clean the sealing surface on the transmission and on the oil pan.

  ‹› The sealing surfaces must be dry and free of grease.

‹› Remove any left over pieces of the old seal.

Make sure the oil screen - A - fits correctly. Push on it again if necessary.

  ‹› The transmission will not work properly when the vehicle is being driven if the oil screen - A - is installed incorrectly.

‹› If the oil screen - A - cannot be positioned correctly, that is, it hangs down in the back, then replace it. Refer to => [ Oil Screen ] See: Oil Screen.

Install the 4 guide pins (T40199) into - 11, 12, 23, and 24 - with the oil pan removed.
