Right Flange Shaft Seal

Right Flange Shaft Seal

  Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Extractor Lever (VW 681)

‹› Thrust Piece (T10138)

Removing 

-

Remove the right flange shaft. Refer to => [ Right Flange Shaft ] See: Differential/Differential Output Shaft/Service and Repair/Final Drive,
Differential (09EA Transmission)/Right Flange Shaft.

Remove flange shaft seal.

Installing

-

Coat outer edge of shaft seal with axle oil.

-

Drive in new shaft seal as far as stop without tilting it.

  ‹› Installed position: The open side of the shaft seal faces the transmission.

Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip half way with sealing grease (G 052 128 A1).

Install the right flange shaft. Refer to => [ Right Flange Shaft ] See: Differential/Differential Output Shaft/Service and Repair/Final Drive,
Differential (09EA Transmission)/Right Flange Shaft.

Check the axle oil level in the front final drive. Refer to => [ Separate or Combined Oil Systems, Differentiation ] See: Differential/Differential
