  ‹› Position the cover on the (VW 401) and (VW 402).

  ‹› Hold the flange shaft - A - with one hand to prevent it from falling down.

Remove flange shaft.

  ‹› Place a pry bar - A - underneath to prevent damaging the housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Installing shaft seal:

  ‹› The two-piece (T10136) is used to install the shaft seal.

Place self-locking center differential cover - A  - on thrust plate of the (T10136).
