Place old oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G 1782 beneath transmission.

CAUTION!
Wear eye protection.

Clamp off ATF cooling hoses to ATF cooler using hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. 3094.

-

Remove coolant hoses from ATF cooler.

-

Seal off ATF coolant hoses with clean sealing plugs.

Note: 
^

Plug line openings quickly to prevent unnecessary drainage of coolant from cooling system.

Remove three bolts - arrows - and remove ATF cooler - B -.

Note: 
^

Both ATF seals between ATF cooler and transmission must always be replaced.

-

Plug both openings on transmission with clean sealing plugs.

Installing 

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note:
-

Replace both ATF seals between ATF cooler and transmission.

-

Lubricate both new seals with ATF and attach to ATF cooler.

-

Attach ATF cooler - B - to transmission and tighten bolts - arrows - to 10 Nm.

-

Install ATF cooling hoses to ATF cooler.

-

Check coolant level in cooling system.

-

Then, check ATF level and top off.
