Transmission Cooler: Removal and Replacement

ATF Cooler

  ‹› Automatic transmission clean working conditions, refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Service Precautions/Clean Working Conditions.

‹› General repair instructions, refer to => [ General Repair Information ] See: Service Precautions/General Repair Information.

  Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

‹› Used Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)

‹› Protective eyewear

Removing 

-

Remove the noise insulation.

-

Mark the ATF cooling hoses on the ATF cooler in different color to prevent mixing them up later.

-

Place (V.A.G 1782) beneath transmission.

Wear protective eyewear.

-

Clamp off the ATF cooling hoses to the ATF cooler using (3094).
