  Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

‹› Bolt M12x100 with nut 

Removing

Tunnel crossmember, removing, refer to => [ Tunnel Crossmember ] See: Tunnel Crossmember

Remove the left and right transmission supports (shown on the right side in the illustration) from the transmission with the transmission mounts (3
bolts)- arrows -.

  A Socket wrench

  ‹› In order to reach all fastening bolts for the transmission supports on the transmission, if necessary lightly press down on the back of the

transmission. Watch out for the shift selector cable.

Attaching and Removing the Transmission Mount and Transmission Supports

Note the installed position of the transmission mount - B - on the transmission supports - arrow 1 - with, for example, a felt-tip marker.
