Attach the (3028).

Remove the nut from the pinion. When doing this, count the number of turns and then write down this number.
Use the nuts again for attaching the flange to the pinion. Otherwise the original installed position cannot be found again.

Install two M8 x 30 bolts - A - in the flange.

Place the drip tray (V.A.G 1306) underneath.

Remove the flange using the (VW 391).
