Rear Lid Drive Motor Installation Position
1 - Trunk lid
2 - Seal for lid hinge
‹› Clipped into drive motor at side.
3 - Drive shaft for lid drive motor
‹› Drive shaft has multiple splines for power transfer.
‹› One set of splines is wider than the others.
‹› Therefore, drive motor can only be installed in the "lid open " position.
4 - Right lid hinge
‹› Removal => [ Rear Lid Hinge ] See: Trunk / Liftgate Hinge/Service and Repair/Rear Lid Hinge.
5 - Drive motor for rear lid.
‹› Motors as replacement parts are always shipped in the "lid open" position.
