Installing

-

Insert upholstery - 2 - in cover - 3 -, ensuring that it fits properly.

-

Insert headrest mount - 1 - in upholstery with cover. 

-

Press fastening strips firmly into guide channel (check by pulling). 

Seat Heating Element

‹› Seat pan heating element is riveted to cover. If heating element is malfunctioning, cover must be replaced.

-

Remove seat pan => [ Seat Pan ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Individual Power Rear Seats.

-

Remove cover and padding from seat pan => [ Seat Pan Cushion and Upholstery, Separating from Seat Pan ]. 

-

Separate cover and upholstery => [ Seat Pan Cushion, Separating from Upholstery ].

-

Replace cover with seat heating element.

Backrest Heating Element

‹› Backrest heating element is riveted to cover. If heating element is malfunctioning, cover must be replaced.

-

Remove seat pan => [ Seat Pan ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Individual Power Rear Seats.

-

Remove individual rear seat => [ Individual Rear Seat ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Individual Power Rear Seats.

-

Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

-

Secure individual rear seat on seat repair stand (VAS 6136).

-

Separate cover and upholstery from individual rear seat => [ Backrest Cushion and Upholstery, Separating from Individual Rear Seat ].

-

Separate cover and upholstery => [ Backrest Cushion, Separating from Upholstery ].

-

Replace cover with backrest heating element.
