Pull connector out upward and unhook line

‹› Brake caliper must not be removed in order to remove brake pads.

-

Using a screw driver, pry both springs from guide pins and remove springs

-

Remove guide pins bolt 

-

Remove guide pins  from brake caliper 

CAUTION!
Spring is tensioned and can cause injury when guide pins are removed.

Remove retaining spring 

‹› Before removing old brake pads, press brake piston into cylinder using resetting tool. Before pushing back the piston, siphon some of the brake

fluid out of the brake fluid reservoir. Otherwise, especially if reservoir has been topped off, fluid will overflow and cause damage.

CAUTION!
Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth!

Remove brake pads from brake caliper housing.

Clean brake caliper with mineral spirits exclusively. 

Installing

Insert brake pads in brake caliper.

‹› The brake pad with wear indicator cable sits inside.

Set retaining spring into brake caliper housing . 

-

Slide guide pins  through brake caliper. 

CAUTION!
After inserting guide pins, retaining spring must be pressed under pins so that it is tensioned. If installed incorrectly, brake pads do not
remain in the correct position and will not work correctly.

Tighten bolt  to necessary torque. 

‹› After inserting brake pads and before driving for the first time, press brake pedal strongly several times while parked so that brake pads are

properly seated in their normal operating position.

Connect connector for wear indicator and hook line into dust cap and cover.
