Electromechanical Parking Brake Actuator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331/)

‹› Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 505x)

Removing

‹› Ignition on.

‹› Release the parking brake.

‹› Coding check and reported if necessary.

‹› DTC memory interrogated, errors shown corrected and DTC memory erased.

‹› Ignition off

Set vehicle to vehicle lift mode.

-

Raise vehicle.

-

Remove wheels.

  ‹› Ignition must be switched off for at least 30 seconds when disconnecting connector!

‹› Clean entire area around connector and actuator/brake caliper.

-

Press retainer on top side of connector (vehicle side) down (magnified area) and disconnect actuator connector.

-

Remove connector (actuator side) from bracket.
