Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose Clamp Pliers (V.A.G 1921)

Removing

‹› During installation, all cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.

Pull rear engine cover off - arrows -.

-

Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures.

Remove right secondary air injection combi-valve. Refer to => [ Secondary Air Injection Right Combination Valve ] See: Powertrain
Management/Emission Control Systems/Air Injection/Air Injection Control Valve/Service and Repair/Secondary Air Injection Right Combination
Valve.

Remove rear noise insulation by loosening fasteners - 2 and 4 -.
