Remove the vacuum hose - arrow -.

Disconnect the electrical connectors for the:

1. Intake flap motor (brown connector)

2. Intake manifold runner position sensor

3. Variable intake manifold runner motor (black connector)

4. Intake manifold runner position sensor 2

Remove the intake manifold bolts in sequence - 10 through 1 -.
