Guide filler hook of ATF filler tool (V.A.G 1924) into an opening - arrow - of protective cap, do not push cap up and in while doing so.

-

Add ATF using ATF filler tool (V.A.G 1924) until ATF exits from the check hole.

-

Place selector lever in position "P".

-

Start engine and switch off again after 20 seconds.

-

Once more, add ATF using ATF filler tool (V.A.G 1924) until ATF drips from the inspection opening.

-

Start engine.

-

Continue adding ATF using ATF filler tool (V.A.G 1924) until ATF drips from the inspection opening again.

-

Tighten ATF inspection plug.

-

With the engine idling, depress the brake pedal and shift the selector lever through all the selector lever positions, leaving the selector lever in each
position for at least 10 seconds.

-

Place selector lever in position "N".

-

Increase engine speed to 2000 rpm and maintain for at least 60 seconds.

-

Place selector lever in position "P".

-

Continue to add ATF using ATF filler tool (V.A.G 1924) until ATF exits again from the check hole.

-

Tighten ATF inspection plug.

-

With the engine idling, depress the brake pedal and shift the selector lever through all the selector lever positions, leaving the selector lever in each
position for at least 10 seconds.

-

Place selector lever in position "N".

-

Increase engine speed to 2000 rpm and maintain for at least 60 seconds.

-

Place selector lever in position "P".

-
