Digital Sound System Control Module, BOSE, through MY 05

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Fiber optic plier repair set (VAS 6223)

‹› Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

‹› If vehicle has Digital Radio (DAB) (R147) and TV Tuner (R78) with Digital TV Tuner (R171), the Digital TV Tuner (R171) must be removed

first.

‹› If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. Use the Vehicle

Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Switch off all electrical consumers.

Remove the key.

Removing

Remove the left luggage compartment trim panel.

Vehicles with Digital Radio (DAB)/TV Tuner/Digital TV Tuner

First remove digital TV tuner. Refer to => [ Digital TV Tuner, with Digital Radio (DAB) ] See: Accessories and Optional
Equipment/Entertainment Systems/Service and Repair/TV System.

All Vehicles

Remove the parking aid control module (J446).

-

Remove fuse panel - 1 - by loosening nuts - arrows - (6 Nm).

Disconnect harness connectors at radio and digital radio (DAB).

Fit the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connectors - 2 -.
