‹› To improve clarity, the removed engine is shown from the rear.

Remove the affected electrical connector from the bracket and disconnect it.

To the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)

To the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) behind Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC)

 Free up the electrical wiring to the oxygen sensors.

‹› Ignore - arrows - and - items 3 and 4 -.

Remove the HO2S - item 2 - and the O2S behind TWC - item 1 - with a tool from the (3337).

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

‹› New oxygen sensors are coated with assembly paste; the paste must not get into the slots of the oxygen sensor body.

‹› For a used oxygen sensor, only coat the threads with hot bolt paste. This paste must not come into contact with the sensor slots.

‹› Wires for the oxygen sensors must always be secured in the same position when installing so that contact with the exhaust pipe is avoided.

‹› During installation, all cable ties must be reinstalled at the same location.
