Air Spring Damper Boot, Correcting Pressure Points

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹›  Compressed air gun (commercially available)

‹› Cloths

‹› The illustration shows the rear air spring damper. The procedure is the same on the front and rear.

Lay cloths - 1 - under the lower connection point and blow compressed air through a ventilation slit - arrow A - using the compressed air gun
(narrow nozzle) - 2 -.

‹› Increase the pressure only until the boot inflates slightly. This presses the indentations - B arrows - outward.

If the indentations are not pressed out, press them out by hand. Slide the boot upward out of the lower retainer if necessary.
