Lubricate outer circumference and space between sealing ring sealing lips with ATF.

Press new seal onto selector shaft.

‹› Installation position: The open side of the seal faces the transmission.

Press on new oil seal as far as the stop using thrust piece (T10135) and assembly lever - A - making sure that the seal does not distort.

‹› To prevent assembly lever from slipping when pressing in seal, place a slip-resistant base (e.g. piece of rubber) between assembly lever and

subframe - arrow -.

Drive spring pin back onto removed selector shaft lever in opposite direction to lever.

Slide selector shaft lever onto shaft and drive in spring pin.

Carefully press selector lever cable - 1 - onto selector shaft lever - 3 -.

‹› Do not bend selector shaft lever when pressing off, otherwise selector mechanism can no longer be adjusted correctly.
