Valve Cover: Service and Repair

NOTE:  The valve cover gasket needs to be covered on the inside and outside with silicone lubricant D 007 000 04, or equivalent.

Using a small screwdriver carefully apply sealer Silmate AMV 17 40 04 01, or equivalent, along 2 edges (arrows) of sealing surfaces on front of
cylinder head (drive chain end).

Carefully apply sealer along 2 edges (arrows) of sealing surfaces on rear of cylinder head (end opposite drive chain).
