Air Door Actuator / Motor: Service and Repair
Left Center Vent Motor -V110-/Right Center Vent Motor -V111-

Left center vent motor -V110- and right center vent motor -V111-, removing and installing

NOTE:

Mark connector for the motor when removing (danger of swapping with connectors of the other actuator motors).

Remove instrument panel

NOTE:  Illustration shows vent motor -V111-.

Remove 2 screws -A-.

-

Remove vent motor.

-

Before installing the vent motor check mounting of the flap (knob -C- must be located between the stops -B-).

-

If the shaft of the motor is located in such an unfavorable position that it is not possible to install the motor:

-

Connect vent motor (via a 5 A fuse) to a 12 V battery (terminal 4 and terminal 5.

Run servo motor as needed, until a suitable installation position is reached (use adapter cable set VW1594). Direction of rotation can be reversed
by switching positive (+) and negative (-) leads.

Tighten securing screws -A- only by hand, tightening torque 4 Ncm (0.35 in. lb).

After installing, always check DTC memory.
