Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
A/C evaporator, removing and installing
NOTE:
-
From November 2000, a running change in production led to a modified A/C housing. A revised evaporator (version "2") and changed refrigerant
lines to evaporator are installed on this A/C housing. Changed evaporator has different dimensions, so that the fitting in the A/C housing also had
to be changed.
-
The A/C housing with version "2" evaporator can be identified from the outside via the coolant lines to the heater core.
-
Version "2" A/C housings up to January of 2001 are supplied with an evaporator with glued foam seal. As of January of 2001, the seal at
evaporator will be implemented in a running change to an annular rubber seal.
