Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

High-mount Brake Light, Removing And Installing

CAUTION!

Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:
-

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

-

Switch the ignition off.

-

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTES:

-

The high-mount brake light is located on the rear shelf.

-

The bulbs -4- (12 V 5 W) are mounted in the bulb assembly -3-.

-

The brake light wiring connector is located on the bulb assembly -3-.

-

The reflector -5- is mounted to the rear shelf by screws located in the trunk.

Removing

-

Remove cover -1- by sliding in direction of arrow.

-

Remove two screws -2- and pull bulb assembly -3- in direction of arrow.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order of removal.
